Kawartha

As you may have already heard, our Kawartha trip turned out to be a great learning experience. The food, the lodging and the activities turned out to be excellent as usual. Congratulations to our supervisors Cathie Webb and Jeff Gillespie and Doreen Dotto who not only survived the trip, but also joined in all the activities. You did a superb job!

Sports

On Thursday, January 15th our volleyball teams put their unpracticed skills to the test when they faced Junior Academy and Willowood. They managed to pull through with only six players and no substitution. In the games against Junior Academy our girls gave it a great effort but were defeated 21-25 and 19-25 respectively. So close!

The girls managed to keep their spirits up during the next two games against Willowood. They fought hard to keep the ball off the floor and everyone improved immensely. As the games progressed, serves began to hit the court instead of the windows. Our final scores for both games found our girls victorious with scores of 12-25 and 14-25, Congratulations girls. A great start to the volleyball season. Wonderful job coach Jeff!

Exam Schedule

Parents, please keep the exam schedule handy for future reference. Exam guidelines for each subject will go home early next week but there is no reason why review in each of the following subjects can't begin now. Some curriculum covered in first term (to the discretion of each teacher) will be included in mid term exams.

MATH - Feb. 2 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm - No afternoon classes

ENGLISH - Feb. 3 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm - No afternoon classes

HISTORY - Feb. 4 - 9:00 am - 12:00 pm - No afternoon classes

FRENCH - Feb. 5 - 9:00 am -11:00 am and SCIENCE - 1:30 pm - 3:30 pm

GLOBAL STUDIES - Friday - Feb. 6 - 9:00 am -12:00 pm - No afternoon classes
