Sports Report for week of February 16-20 - by Coach Jeff

Hey there sports fans! An exciting week for our sports teams. Congratulations to both the Boys Basketball and Girls Volleyball team for a terrific regular season. The Girls Volleyball team ended the season with a record of 3 wins and 5 losses, and a tie for fourth overall out of 7 teams in the league. Way to go! An extra special huge thank you to Lorraine Deska for volunteering her time and experience as a coach. The team learned so much and has much to be proud of. There will be an intra-squad match and pizza party at St.Aidan's on Monday, March 1st after school. Please let Coach Jeff know if you are not able to make it.

Congratulations to the Boys Basketball team for finishing the season with a 4 and 2 record and trying for second in the 7 team league! The boys won their final regular season game on Wednesday 54-36 over Junior Academy. Playoffs begin on Wednesday, February 25 at 4:00 with a must-win to advance semi-final game against Waldorf at Alan Howard Waldorf School. To prepare for this important game, the boys have practices Monday morning at 7:30 at St.Aidan's and Wednesday morning at 7:45 at Bellefair. Any parent who is able to drive to the game, please contact Coach Jeff at 416.691.7643 or 416.994.7643. We will be leaving the school on Wednesday at 3:00 SHARP.

Next up on the sports horizon is Ball Hockey. Stay tuned for further updates.

The Onslaught Squadron

Hilary Sherman, Julia Vernon, Miranda Trevor, Jane Gerster and Maddy Robertson have created the Onslaught Squadron - a club that meets daily after school to ensure that chores are completed by all. So far, the club has been very successful. The locker area is looking great and chairs are stacked every afternoon. Congratulations to the Squadron for their efforts, initiative and leadership!

Jennifer Robichaud - Dance

We are sad to say goodbye to Jennifer Robichaud who took Nicole's place as our dance teacher in term one. I hope we all agree that Jennifer did an excellent job by adding so much excitement and creativity to our dance program. Good luck Jennifer and continued success both as a teacher and dancer. We'll miss you.

Nicole Bemister-Lardino, Dance

As you have heard, Nicole has returned from her travels and has resumed her role as dance teacher. She is promising an exciting dance program this term and is glad to be leading our "dance troupe" again. Welcome back Miss. Nicole!

Have a great weekend!
