Mid Term Exam Averages
For your information, the following are exam averages in each subject area for each grade. Feel free to direct questions to teachers regarding your child's progress in any given subject.
English 7 - 84% ___________English 8 - 80%

Scientifically Speaking...
This term both the grade 7's and 8's have been exploring the particle theory in relation to various aspects of science. The students continue to amaze me by the brilliant questions they ask and the thirst for knowledge they all seem to share! Our classes always take unique paths, as the kids are eager to extend the concepts beyond the pages of our textbook!
Throughout our grade 8 study of the human body, we were very fortunate to have Dr. Ginny McFarlane (Robin's mom) visit our class on a number of occasions to shared her expertise as a physician. Ginny's lessons on the various organ systems and human vital signs were stimulating, fun and complete! What a wonderful opportunity! Ginny, we thank you from the bottom of our left and right ventricles!

Thank you to Sue Brophy and Lynn Kieran for their efforts to organize the Wine and Cheese gathering last week.

"The Breakfast Club"
Thursday Mornings at 8:15 a.m.
Students who are interested in some extra English help are invited to the Breakfast Club...We will be focusing on strengthening spelling muscles, grammar conventions and writing skills.
Although we will not be serving a full breakfast menu...students and teachers will take part in the sharing of breakie-like treats.
