Hockey Equipment

Our Floor Hockey team needs extra helmets and face masks. Please contact Ms. Launay if you have any spare ones. We will return them to you as soon as Floor Hockey season is over.

Passover

Students who might be absent on Thursday, April 17 to celebrate Passover will not be asked to catch up on lessons taking place at school that day. Homework will be kept to a minimum during the long weekend.

Kids Can Free the Children

We thank Arielle Kieran for taking the initiative to invite our students to the "Kids Can Free the Children" conference last Thursday at Metro Hall. V.I.S students Sean Kieran, Eleanor Vaughan, Hilary Sherman, Rachael Chong and Brandon Harvey attended the conference.

Arielle, a graduate of V.I.S. was the key organizer of the conference. She was able to gather over 60 high school and intermediate students, all interested in helping with this cause. Arielle is a strong advocate and defender of children's rights, and is taking action to prevent injustices toward children on a global level. We are proud of Arielle for honouring her values and working so hard to make a difference.

We thank Jon and Lynn for supervising our students during the conference.

Tawingo

Forms for Tawingo were sent home last week. Accompanying teachers will be Liana Launay, Andrew Drake and Nicole Bemister. I will be visiting Tawingo on Thursday, May 8. A complete information package will be sent home this week. We are looking forward to another exciting trip.
